Ishan Natali, is the second South African to compete in the World Barista Championship. Ishan is an extremely professional and precise barista and is currently getting ready to compete in the Gauteng Regionals later this year.
Erina Nigrini, from Stil.Coffee / AfricaBlack qualified in Nairobi, Kenya in March 2009 as a WBC Certified judge, the first in South Africa to get this opportunity. Currently there are 48 WBC certified judges in the world and 4 are from Africa. Erina was invited to judge at the World Barista Competition in Atlanta, USA in April 2009.
